20 km Running Route

For a ”bulletproof” 20 km running route, there is always the option of running to the lakes on doing the circuit three times which will result in approximately 19 km, which leaves 1 km to get to and from the lakes from where you are staying. This is a bit of a hamster route, as you will be running the same stretch three times, but as mentioned it’s bullet proof. Another option is to do a tour from the lakes and include Fælledparken which is great for running and also the home of Copenhagen’s biggest running club – Sparta. And if you are feeling even more adventurous you can detour to the Citadel and then run along the harbour all the way to Fisketorvet, an from there you can run over Vesterbro and find yourself back at the lakes. Other parks and stretches that are good for long runs are Frederiksberg Have and Søndermarken as well as Utterslev Mose.

Praise for our Copenhagen Half Marathon Tour:

“Best part of my whole trip!”

My husband and I recently did a 10 day trip through Scandinavia with Copenhagen as our last stop. I had an 18 mile run planned for that weekend, so when I was looking up bike tours and saw Lena’s running tour (and that she’d do up to a half marathon), I was stoked and booked almost immediately. I had an absolute blast. She was great and went at my (albeit fairly slow) pace and we went to all sorts of areas that my husband and I didn’t cover on our walks. It was also awesome to have a guide to tell me where to run because, after this, I realized that I would’ve had a pretty hard time figuring out where to go myself! If you like running, Lena’s tours are a must. It was seriously the best part of my whole trip.

“Half Marathon Tour with Lena”

Fantastic! Lena is not only knowledgeable about the city’s history, but also an engaging and entertaining individual as well. I highly recommend this tour as a way to jump into the city and feel like you are ready to absorb the culture at its fullest!

Our Half Marathon tour here in Copenhagen is one of my personal favourites of all our running tours, as this also allows us to show a few contrasting sides of our small capital and at the same time, it is a huge pleasure to be spending a solid few hours with our guests. Guests that always bring their inspiring and unique life stories.
