In November 2014 Jamie and Brenna joined me on a city tour. They were in town in connection with the Danish Adventure Film Festival, because the festival was showing the Ultra Running Film called Finding Traction. The documentary is about Nikki Kimball attempting to beat the record on Vermont’s 273 mile Long Trail. Finding Traction is powerful, its beautiful and very inspiring.
Jamie Jacobsen (the lady to the right in the photo) is the director of Finding Traction, while Brenna (left in the picture and sporting a pair of Altras) was part of the crew that helped Nikki Kimball complete this incredible challenge. While Jamie is of course behind the camera it is a pleasure to re-see Brenna on some of the footage.
…..and just take a moment to think how incredibly far 273 miles is and what type of person it takes to complete this and of course how a human body and mind is impacted by such a challenge.
